Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween!
We had a fabulous weekend celebrating! Friday was a Halloween party at my friend Kresta's house. The kids dressed up and had a blast! Doughnuts on a string

Lunch
On Saturday, Ted and I took the boys to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin.
I have to mention that Ted had been growing out his facial hair for all of October. His work was having a "Man Up for Alzhiemers" fundraiser. Monday is Mustache Day. Ted decided to shave his beard Friday and have a mustache all weekend. Not my favorite!
Nolan didn't really care about the pumpkins, he just wanted to play!
Hayride
Seaweed the Serpent
Parker enjoyed watching his big brother, but got too tired out!
On Halloween, we had beautiful weather! Mid 60s and very sunny! So we played outside in the leaves.

Our good friends Jim, Kresta, Jackson and Addie came over to help us celebrate!
We carved pumpkins,

Grandpa O'Neill

My grandfather passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. He was 86 years old and married to my grandmother for nearly 62 years. He had 5 children, 20 grandchildren with one on the way, and 17 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way. He loved people, talking to people, his family, and his faith. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

A painting my grandmother did of him
We were able to attend his touching service in Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin.

Duluth is a major port for all the Great Lakes. Canal Park is one of our favorite places to visit while there. My family was able to spend a nice afternoon together.
A big iron ore ship came in-
My parents actually rode this for a week!

It was a jam-packed, family-filled weekend. I was so grateful that I could be there to honor and remember my grandfather. I love you, Grandap.

8 Months and the Pumpkin Patch

Parker is 8 months old today! He loves feeding himself, laughing, being tickled, snuggling, jumping in his bouncer, and imitating any vocal sound he hears. To celebrate 8 months and the beautiful weather we are having, we went to a pumpkin patch with Kresta and her kids, Jackson and Addie.
How do people with more children get a picture where everyone looks good? Is that what photoshop is really for?
Or, how do you get all the kids to stick their heads in the hole at the same time? Impossible???
We did have a great time at the pumpkin patch. They had a huge playground, a corn maze, a haunted house, farm animals, and a big field of pumpkins.
Pretty soon these stroller shots will no longer be possible. I am not in a hurry for crawling.
Running through the pumpkin patch may have been the most fun of all!

What a gorgeous day! Happy 8 months Parker!
