New Paint
When my dear parents were here a couple of weeks ago, there was no easy going vacation for them. As soon as they got here, they went to work beautifying my house. My mom painted all the trim inside of the house and the front door. My dad scraped all the exterior paint, caulked the wood, washed it, and painted the entire non-brick front. Thanks so much Mom and Dad!
I picked out the colors and we even changed the main exterior paint 3 times before finally just leaving it like this. I am not sold on the colors together, or even the wall color alone. But, they did a wonderful job and it is painted nicely and protected from the elements. We aren't changing it anytime soon, (Dad isn't coming back in the near future. :) Ha ha ha!)but please tell me your honest opinions. Thanks again Mom and Dad. We miss you and can't wait to see you again!

I love the color of your door!! I think the colors you chose for your house are perfect!
I think the door is too red. I like the brown color, I like the red color, but I don't think they and the brick all jive. I think the red should be more brick-ish to match the, uh well, bricks. Does that make sense? Just my 2 cents. It would be fine if you leave it, but if you want input, that's mine.
I love the tan color and I love the color of your bricks, so I'm with Melissa - I think your door needs to be a little deeper and warmer in color. Next to the brick it looks a little orange. But I love the idea of a red door! It's hard to pick out paint though and if you leave it, I think it'll still be fine. But you did ask for honest input, so there it is. :) So fun to make changes, isn't it? Don't you feel like you live in a new house now?
I like the color of the house, but agree with the previous comments that the red needs to be darker. That would pull it all together very nicely.
Looks great- nice job Dad!
