Baby Update!
Last week my blood pressure went higher than ever before. I was feeling really weird, so we went in and sure enough, the doctor put me on modified bed rest! Luckily, it is more relaxed than full bed rest, but still, NO FUN! We went back in on Monday to see if we needed to be induced, but the rest had brought my pressure under control. The funny part about the appointment was that the doctor whom we met with delivered Ted. He is the director of the OB department for St. Louis University, so we are in good hands. He told me that the baby is going to be larger than average, which is what I have been both dreading and expecting. Even though I was only 7.5 lbs., Ted was 9.5. On both his mom and dad's side, back 2 generations, every mom gave birth to a 9-10 pound baby. Whew! The doctor also told us we would be delivering before our due date. Sounds great, but 24 years ago he told Ted's mom the same thing; "I won't be seeing you at your next appointment!" for 3 weeks. She finally had to be induced 2 weeks past her due date. You can't believe everything the doctors tell you. Send us all your labor thoughts! Our due date is 2 weeks from today, and we are ready!

Okay. At two weeks until my due date, this is what I did.
1. Walk. Tons.
2. Eat spicy food.
3. Get busy. (If you know what I mean.)
Elijah came 10 days early. Good luck!!!
I'm glad you are doing better. How big is your baby going to be do the doctors think. Good Luck to both of you! Nickolas was 2 weeks late and they had to induce me. I tried everything and I mean everything nothing worked. I hope you have better luck them me. lol
You should take some pictues of the baby;s room so all us mainers can see it! lol
I didn't know your doc delivered Ted! Say, how can I get put on modified bed rest? Sounds great to me! :) This is a good time to get some pics of your nursery before the craziness ensues!
